    Looking for an adventure this summer? Sign up for Davis Shakespeare Ensemble’s Camp Shakespeare and explore the exciting worlds of The Three Musketeers & A Midsummer Night's Dream through acting, improv, stage combat, costume design, dance, music and more! Linked closely with the Davis Shakespeare Festival, campers will be guided by professional artists from the DSE team and will experience nearly all aspects of the theatrical craft.

    Camp Shakespeare: Summer of Adventure

    Ages 8-12

    Session 1: July 10 – July 21, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., (Mon.-Fri.)

    Session 2: July 24 – August 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., (Mon.-Fri.)

    Arboretum Gazebo, UC Davis campus

     

    Teen Camp: Ages 13-18

    July 24 – August 4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., (Mon.-Fri.)

    Fridays, July 14 & 28; August 11 & 25; September 8 & 22

    Folk Music Jam Sessions

    12–1 p.m., Wyatt Deck, Arboretum Drive, UC Davis campus

    Folk musicians are invited to play together informally during this acoustic jam session at the Wyatt Deck, located on Arboretum Drive (formerly Old Davis Road) next to the redwood grove in the UC Davis Arboretum. Pull out your fiddles, guitars, mandolins, penny whistles, pipes, flutes, squeezeboxes (you name it) and join your fellow musicians for a little bluegrass, old-time, blues, Celtic, klezmer, and world music over the lunch hour. All skill levels and listeners welcome.

    Walk with Warren

    12-1 p.m., UC Davis Arboretum Gazebo, UC Davis campus

    Join Warren Roberts, the Superintendent Emeritus of the Arboretum, famous storyteller and punster, for an always engaging noontime exploration of late summer in the UC Davis Arboretum's gardens and collections. This event is free.

    Free one-hour parking can be found along Garrod Drive near the Gazebo or in nearby Visitor Parking Lot 55 where visitors can park in short-term metered spots or all-day spaces with the purchase of a $9 daily pass.
